Looking ahead to June...

After the 3rd driest Spring on record (surprising given the torrential rain some parts of the U.K. have seen), it looks like we could be in for a rather wet summer.  I hope we’ll see some drier and warmer days, given our National Koi Show is one of only a few outdoor shows in the koi calendar.

Our show committee are busy preparing, and our show chair (Matt Stevens) tells me this years show layout will be somewhat larger than last, alongside 50+ exhibitor vats (both hobbyists and koi dealer), our Shinkokai Award also returns given its popularity.

This year, the ZNA (Zen Nippon Arinkai) are also supporting, by providing a Champion Scroll & Pin (to be awarded to our Grand Champion).

Matt and I would also like to thank those of you that have already sponsored awards and exhibitor vats, or are supporting the various auctions and raffles across the weekend, it is hugely appreciated.

A quick point of order, given my next blog won't be until after the National Show...

Can we please ask Members attending, to have your membership card with you, and on hand upon entry (show entry concessions).

As a side, our digital membership card, provided online in the Members Area, can also be used - simply print a copy, and bring it with you.

Any membership or show entry questions; please let us know prior to Friday 21st June 2024 - we will struggle to respond into the following week.

I’m also not going to waffle on much more this month; I hope we see many of you across the 29th/30th June weekend for our 44th National Koi Show, at the Heart of England Conference and Events Centre.

Until then, stay safe and enjoy our hobby.
