The last four weeks seem to have flown by, August sees the Crouch Valley Koi Show taking place, which I’ll be attending, followed by a flurry of Club (Section) Koi Shows taking place during the same month.
A quick update on our current Consultation Period; our vacant committee positions remain open until the 31st August. Post the Crouch Show, my attention will turn to the proposal(s) and feedback that have been provided.
We need a little time to discuss this document within our committees, provide members sight of the proposal(s) alongside an opportunity to vote (online). We’ll then take the proposal(s) forward by way of an EGM (date to be set) for final ratification.
We have had a small number of individuals step forward and offer some help. However, whilst I’m grateful for the offers, we do need to fill all the ‘main’ committee positions for The Society to function moving forward (Chairman, Treasurer & Membership/Secretary).
The ‘Caretaker’ Society Committee are due to meet in August, and we’ll provide any updates as quickly as we can, including a date for our EGM.
On a side note, a number of our committee members were saddened to hear about Val Frost’s passing. Val was one of the original founding Society (BKKS) members, and Bernie Woollands has kindly provided an obituary via the JSC’s page:
I’m not going to waffle on, I’m sure they’ll be plenty of things to talk about over the coming months!
