Thanks to all our members that voted, and those of you who attended our EGM on the 2nd October, where we confirmed by way of a Special Resolution that The British Koi-Keeper’s Society will close at the end of our financial year (31st January 2026).
Our members voted overwhelmingly (135 votes; 94%) for The National Koi Show to continue as its own independent association, managed by committee and under its own constitution.
As part of the successful show continuation proposal, all members who voted for this proposal become Patrons of the new show association; I’m sure the show team will be reaching out to its Patrons in due course.
An orderly closure of The Society is in progress, as agreed by our members, and including financial recompense to our Sections and JSC. We have previously communicated our Section affiliation scheme effectively ceases at the end of this year, and we wish all local koi clubs future success.
We’ll be closing our website, email addresses and social media accounts in due course, National Show Patrons will be provided with an online area within a new National Koi Show website over the coming months, allowing us to also provide any ‘final’ Society documents or updates.
I'll probably be back for a final Blog update in either late December or early January; feel free to follow The National Koi Show on either Facebook or Instagram.
Thank you once again for all your support, stay safe and enjoy the hobby.
Rob.
